Pavla Brantalova

Czech female bodybuilder Pavla Brantalova (competed internationally 1990-2000). One of my favorite female bodybuilders of all time, she developed a very well defined and proportioned physique at a young age. This artwork was digitally painted using CorelPainter19; various photo references were compiled to create an original pose/silhouette to keep subject in authentic proportion. All detail work and texture elements were drawn from scratch. After much trial and deliberation, I chose to go with a more simple geometric/abstract and complimentary background to juxtapose the high amount of detail work of the main subject.
